The future of local climate action: Stroud District Green Party AGM

Members and non-members alike are invited to attend the first part of the Stroud District Green Party AGM this Tuesday (25th February 2020) to hear from an expert panel of speakers on the future of local climate action, including:

  • Catherine Braun – the national perspective and the run-up to Cop 26
  • Claire Mellier-Wilson – new democratic approaches to confronting the crisis – experiences from France and UK
  • Martin Whiteside – How Stroud District Council’s CN2030 commitment is developing in practice
  • Sam Munton – Wooton CAN – what a local community driven initiative can look like
  • Justine Mallinson – Severn Wye Energy Agency – the retrofit challenge
  • Dave Judd – Building resilience and adapting to the changes that are already happening
  • Eden Kingston and Olive Coxon – Youth Climate Strike – hopes, fears and support wanted by younger people

The meeting takes place from 7.30 – 8.45pm at the Old Town Hall, The Shambles, Stroud and is followed by the members-only AGM.
